Pipeline Overview
Developing two strong lead compounds: Plecanatide (SP-304) & SP-333 to Treat GI Disorders & Diseases
Plecanatide (SP-304)
A patented drug candidate that targets GC-C receptors in the GI tract. Plecanatide, formerly known as Guanilib, is being developed to treat GI disorders, including chronic constipation and IBS-C.
Plecanatide is currently completing a Phase IIa clinical trial in chronic constipation patients in early 2010.
SP-333
A second-generation Synergy drug candidate that targets GC-C receptors in the GI tract, and is being developed to treat ulcerative colitis.
