About Synergy Pharmaceuticals

Synergy Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (SGYP.OB) is a public, development-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on drugs to treat gastrointestinal (GI) conditions and diseases. Our drug development program and patent estate are based on a class of synthetic peptides designed to mimic uroguanylin, a human hormone that regulates intestinal fluid transport. Our drug candidates were discovered and developed in-house by Synergy scientists and are covered by extensive patents.

Synergy presently has a drug, SP-304, in clinical development to treat chronic constipation (CC) and constipation-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-C); and a second drug, SP-333, in pre-clinical development for GI diseases.

We are headquatered in New York City and also operate a research laboratory in Doylestown, PA that supports Synergy’s drug development programs.
